I got this phone immediately after a scammer using 703-286-7268 with the name Avec Vous who tried calling professing to be a bill collector. This is without doubt the same scammer using a different phone number. They have called from different phone numbers before...they dumbest scammers you'll ever meet.
I use this number TO CALL AT&T wireless service and after several voicebot clicks usually get a real person to help with my problem. I have received "spam" calls FROM this number. Obviously hijacked by some spammers to make you think it is legitimate. Therefore, I will not accept calls from this number and only use it to initiate AT&T wireless service.
It is NOT AT&T Calling. It is a SCAMMER using technology to mask his number and make your caller I.D. think it's an AT&T number. Whether you get an actual person or electronic voice DO NOT speak to them and DO NOT press anything on your phone except to HANG UP! If you do you may get a 3rd party charge on your phone, so keep an eye on your Bill. It's a phishing scam. If they get you to give them your PIN or say "Yes" or press a number which means YES then you are on for a world of headaches. DO NOT try and outsmart them, catch them or trick them. All you will do is get frustrated and probably get a fraudulent charge. There may even be a charge per minute for anyone staying on the line more then 30 seconds. JUST HANG UP AND BLOCK THEM!!!
Subject: Total Access Communication System Scheme to Defraud ConsumersSYNOPSISAttached please find a three-page letter, dated May 11, 2016, addressed to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, from here on referred to as (FTC). As you can see, one of the “Unlisted” and “Untraceable” numbers used by the UNKNOWN criminal enterprise, now identified as Total Access Communication System, from here on referred to as (TACS) to hide its identity was (888) 868-4624. Refer to a three-page letter introduced as EXHIBIT ALATEST DEVELOPMENTSOn July 12, 2016, at approximately 17:42 hours, a female AT&T employee called me from; (800) 331-0500. She asked me why I accused AT&T of failing to provide information about the UNKNOWN collection agency that kept calling my cellular, trying to extortion me during March, April and May 2016.On July 12, 2016, the AT&T female caller further stated that, even if I submitted a subpoena to disclose information regarding the UNKNOWN collection agency, AT&T would not be able to provide me information, because AT&T did not have that information.FALSIFICATION OF EVIDENCEBased on the verbal false information provided on July 12, 2016 by the AT&T female employee, I searched the Internet. The results found indicate that the UNKNOWN collection caller, using the “unlisted” and “untraceable” numbers; (888) 868-4624; (866) 487-8320; and (888) 868-5394; is named; Total Access Communication System (TACS). According to the Internet information, this criminal enterprise (TACS) was developed and it is maintained today by AT&T.WILLFUL VIOLATIONS TO Title 47 USC 227By entering in a conspiracy with Total Access Communication System (TACS) to defraud consumers nationwide, AT&T is in violation of Title 47 United States Code, Section 227(a)(2)(4)(5)(b)(1)(B) of the Telephone Communications Act.In addition, AT&T may be in violation to The False Claim Act, 31 USC 3729, in that AT&T failed to report to the Internal Revenue Service any extra income received by its criminal conspirator; Total Access Communication System (TACS).Total Access Communication System (TACS) Page 2 of 2Scheme to Defraud ConsumersDeparting from the premise AT&T developed and still maintains the network used by the criminal enterprise named (TACS), AT&T is knowingly and willfully evading payment of revenue obtained by its conspirator TACS via extortion.CORROBORATION OF CRIMINAL ENTERPRISEOn July 22, 2016, I placed a call to (888) 868-4624, the same number that kept calling during March, April, and May, 2016, trying to extortion me for money of a debt that does not belong to me. A male subject who identified himself as “Kevin” responded. “Kevin” corroborated that Total Access Communication System (TACS), was a “collection agency.” However, “Kevin” refused to provide the office location, neither the mailing address.CONCLUSIONBased on the evidence presented, I am requesting from the FCC to submit a Subpoena Duces Tecum and compel AT&T to produce any and all records related to its criminal conspirator known as TACS.In my particular case, AT&T and its conspirator TACS, committed aggravated violations by calling my cellular (469) 236-2230 none stop for about three (3) months. I suffer from severe arthritis that causes me pain each time I have to walk, or use my hands. Every time these criminal conspirators called me for three months on the row, both caused me un-necessary pain and suffering.I want both criminal conspirators to pay trebled for pain and suffering caused to me, a victim of both extortionists. Both criminal conspirators must pay for the scheme they created to knowingly and willfully extortion unaware consumers, that borderline in violations to the RICO Statute; 18 USC, Section 1962 (a)(b)(c)(d).
Got a call from this number and the recording says that it was AT&T calling and that my line has been suspended. Their scam might be a bit more successful if they weren't calling Verizon customers.
I just got a call at 3pm on 1-22-18 I did not answer I don't with numbers I do not recognize
They said they found a phone I dropped in the sewer two years ago and asked for my address and I just searched it up and I find out it was a scammer (but srsly who would want to give back a phone thats not working and how the [***] did they get my number)
Recorded message that said my AT&T wireless account had been suspended and to press 1 if I wanted to deactivate. I hung up and blocked.
