Looks like this number has been used for about 10 years, so why isn't it on every block list in the country? Anyway, my call said it was Verizon and my account was suspended, I haven't been on Verizon for 5 years so...
the heavily accented man said he was calling from google support about spam emails being sent from my email in nigeria. and wanted me to get in front of my computer to "resolve the issue". when i started to ask him questions he stumbled over his words and made no sense.. he just kept telling me that i needed to get on my computer and he would walk me through the procces of blocking these supposed spam emails. when i hung up on him he called me back 3 times from this number and when i didnt answer he then called from a blocked number 18 times in a 3 minutes! its a scam caller! just trying to get your personal info
Didn't answer and it went to voicemail. Same "...AT&T account has been suspended..." message as mentioned throughout this thread.
Received a call from 800 331-0500 but didn't answer it. My husband had called me earlier to say he received a call from AT&T and not to answer it. They're trying to poach Verizon customers to AT&T. He call Verizon and reported the call and they said they are aware of what's going on.
I usually play along with these scammers. If they ask for my name I tell them BOJONGO JEZFAHTED. If they ask for my credit card number I take my looong sweeet time giving them a false number then I become friendly with them and finally I blurt in anger Go F.. Yourself.
Do not call list is a joke. They cannot enforce it. What a waste of money. This happened to me after i bought from wayfair.

I called Citibank's other number and confirmed this was their Consumer Support number. It is legitimate. Processed the information they needed to verify my account. I originally thought it was fraud but it is real.

We receive calls at our place of business from these people every day and they claim to be with Spectrum. It sounds like a call center in India; noisy background noise and each person who calls has a strong accent.
