Yea I got a call from this number as well. They said they were CIBC, but when CIBC calls me they never ask for personal info so I told the guy to go f***himself and that If i ever see him that I'll turn him into a wheelchair.

how do they get my cell phone number? they call pretty much everyday in the evening and i never pick up.

First call from this number...CIBC telemarketing with offers about no fee cheques etc., and other account options. Asked for nothing but did start the conversation with " My name is **** from CIBC, is this Mr. ****.Two days later, also in the evening, another call from the same number. This time the caller offered no identification, said they were calling from CIBC, and would I please give them my Visa number for account verification. I hung up.Odd footnote: The call display during the call displayed 1-800-741-4591, but after I hung up and recheck my log...it displayed all zero's.

Looks like another shill posting trying to make you believe this is CIBC. It's 100% fake - a scam.

This number called my landline this evening... When I answered there was slight pause then a click and we were disconnected. I have no business with CIBC xcept for a decade old OSAP loan...

I just called CIBC, as I have been receiving a call on my cellphone from this number for the last 10 days but haven't answered it because I do not recognize it, and they never left a message. It is a collections agency on behalf of CIBC. Turns out it was a wrong number, as it was incorrect on another person's file they had who's account was overdue, so they removed it for me so that I do not receive any other calls.:)

They called my cell tonight. I'm on the fence. On the one hand he knew details about my banking that would be hard to find out. But he was also not a typical CIBC rep. He was very pushy and had a strange accent. I called the direct CIBC number on my card and they confirmed to me this is one of their sales agencies and that they would remove me from the list.I think it's a sales agency that works for or is affiliated to CIBC. However I don't think it is CIBC directly.
