I remember receiving a call twice before telling me to call Macy's. I called Macy's and they said I have no account balance. Now I received a phone call yet again to call and pay immediately, but this time before calling Macy's I decided to check up on this website. Sure enough, I'm not the only victim here and this is clearly a scam!

I too have a Macy's credit card that is completely current and never been late. Today I finally called Macy's after receiving this same phone number on my caller ID and googled it.Yes, this is a legitimate collection call agency phone number for Macy's. In fact the billing department from Macy's actually transferred me to the Ohio#. After several minutes on the phone with much limited informaton back to them, I found out I do not owe anything from past accounts, and I am in good standing. I was told my number will be removed today, and they apologized for the annoying calls! The man I talked to was actually very professional and kind.Seemed legitimate to me, just annoying. Hope this resolves the issue.I did tell the original billing department at Macy's that if this does happen again, I will no longer be a customer, and I go back to when they were "The Broadway" - almost 40 years I have patronized this business, paid a lot of salaries, and provided much equipment to their stores! They do no want to lose me as a customer!!

We have been getting calls from this # as well, repeatly for 2-3 wks. We have caller ID, it gives this # and Mason OH. I refuse to answer, as I figured it was a company trying to sell us something. But we are getting tired of it...

Yes.............they are RUDE...so disappointed in Macys for having such morons in charge of theircredit business. I tried so hard to pay my bill per phone, could hardly understand the person I was talking to...gave them my bank check. acct # etc.....It still did NOT get done!! Even after I called back a second time!!!Never experienced anything like it. I do have a perfect credit rating and they better not screw it up!!I am soo mad and will NOT pay any late fee

Been recieving several calls from the number above. Three today alone.Wife has a Macy's card but pays in total every billing. Never late, allways ontime. in person mostly when near store.Calls from a younger female with a mid-eastern accent which makes understanding her very difficult. Won't be answering the calls and will definately post it as "crank Call" on Caller ID. Information like this makes life easier for all of us.Thanks in advance.

It's simple: Many people have accents or intonations in their voices that give obvious clues as to their age, race, country/state of origin, etc. You can't tell with everyone, of course, but with others, you can. For instance, one obvious attribute you can easily ascertain (virtually every time) is gender. Just tune in as you're listening and you'll likely begin to notice these verbal clues.I actually appreciate the comments of the person who mentioned her perception of the caller's race. Being a telephone encounter, it was the only description she could give and it helps narrow down exactly who each of us are hearing from. After all, we all came to this site for that reason. (Since I don't even have a Macy's card, I REALLY want to know why these people keep calling me and hanging up!)Hope this helps you, since you stated that you would love to know the race of the people with whom you speak. To each his own. Ordinarily, I couldn't care less, but in this situation, I really want to know who keeps calling me and I'll take any description I can get! :-)Take care!
