Got called this afternoon.As other people are saying it’s att number, do they beg me for re-contract, since I eliminate all my phone line with att several years ago...?

I see a charge on my MasterCard account for $72. The reference info on the transaction line is "ATTM *1506xxxxx 800-331-0500 TN ". (The xxxxx replaces my actual account numbers.) This is a legitimate charge; it is for my AT&T Wireless Service. I got no problem.

FYI ... AT&T Survey Scam: I received a call yesterday from a guy saying he was calling from AT&T and asked me to take a 3 question survey in exchange for 30% off my next 3 bills. The number calling my phone showed up as the AT&T Customer Care center (1-800-331-0500), but it wasn't AT&T. It turned out that he hacked my iphone's SIM Card # and an hour later it cut off my phone from service. Around the same time I called AT&T from another phone and they were baffled that someone was able to get in and change my SIM card number in my actual phone, without it showing in their records ... usually someone has to call in and change it with them, pretending to be you. AT&T was Very helpful looking into the issue and I went to a store and they quickly replaced my SIM card. Be Aware of anyone calling for a survey ... hopefully it won't happen to anyone else!

I had a similar experience happen on my last bill. I added a line awhile ago and my friend uses that one. On 6/25/08, on her line, there was a charge neither of us had ever heard of or knew about for $9.99. The Merchant's Name was OpenMarket and the description was from Predicto, though the contact number was this AT&T service number, 800-331-0500.Googling Predicto says it's some mobile game/contest site, but my friend's never been there and has never entered her number in anywhere. Yet the AT&T bill said she'd downloaded/purchased something. My friend's phone is old and incapable of internet, she never buys ringtones, and she doesn't text. She did recall *receiving* a couple of weird texts from an internet company, which she replied 'stop' to, but we're not sure how they got the number in the first place.I called AT&T and they were nice about it and removed the charge. I also had a purchase blocker put in place. Replying here so that others will be aware of the scam company names OpenMarket and Predicto.(This seems to happen to a lot of people who have family plans or multiple lines. I have to wonder if this is because these are easier to target somehow or because these scammers think those people are less likely to look closely at the entire bill?)

Received an automated message about my AT&T rewards card. I do not have AT&T. Obviously a scam.

What a unwanted call from bis4prizes3 charge me 9.99. Please stop doing it.

From November 2007 these SOBZ have been ripping me off. Just noticed on the July bill. ATT can only credit me 60.76

recieved a call from 8003310500.did not answer. no message left.

I got fee on my cell phone bill that I never authorized them to chage me 9.99!!!!!! I don't even know who it is!!!
