I received a call from 303-555-0107. When I tried to call it back (blocking my phone number of course) I received a message that told me to call 800-331-0500 because the call was not allowed from my phone. I do not have AT&T---have NEVER had AT&T...but I do have Cricket...who is owned by AT&T.
Just rec'd call on my cell from this # - hung up and left no message.
Lady called saying she was AT&T, and I won a $99 rebate for being a loyal customer. She verified my PIN, name and wireless phone number. Then said they would call back with confirmation. Crazy thing is this number is actually AT&T customer service number ?? Which I immediately called and changed my pin and reported incident. AT&T said they never will call customers for anything especially rebates to give money. Beware of scum lying scammer.
Heavy Indian accent saying I was a long time customer and was going to receive a $99 dollar rebate. Number was 800-331-0500. Asked if this was my number and then wanted more info to confirm this was me. That was the warning..do not give out information. I said he could be a spammer and to send me an email. He said ok. Called A T and T at the same number, spoke to a rep that said they would not offer rebates by phone calls. I recommended that A T and T sent in their bills about scammers using their number.
Got a call from this number stating that my AT&T account had been suspended. Asked me to "press 1" to reactivate my account. I did not call back, because I know that my account is paid automatically.
My husband was called and they hung up before he could get to his phone. Then my phone rang within a minute later and it was the same number calling me. They did not leave a message on my husband's phone but my voice mail had a small portion of a message saying "to speak to a representative press". That was it.
I have been getting phone calls from this number and they never leave a message. It is very annoying as I am on a Do Not Call list.
Be careful with this number. It is so easy to spoof a number now. I got a call yesterday. Man claimed to be from AT&T and that he needed to reset my PIN, and could I provide my current PIN number. I informed him that he wasn't from AT&T because AT&T doesn't call people and ask for PINs, and furthermore I didn't have AT&T. I advised him to stop scamming people and get a real job. He then paused and said "I love you, are you single?". Threw me for a loop for a second, and told him "Nope, I have 6 husbands, and none of them know about each other"
They called at 11:00 at night!!! Of course, I did not answer. I doubt AT&T, which I do not have, would call this late.
Yes, this is an AT&T number. I called back and spoke with a representative there. They said this number is a subject of "spoofing" and that AT&T does not have outbound calls with this number. She said the best thing to do is to ignore it. So .... it will be going to my REJECT CALL LIST.
